Simplify Method for Churches

A church is not a business. It still runs on systems.

We measure the five systems behind your church, name the one holding the others back, and build the plan with your team.

Where Churches Actually Are

Every church is in a season

Pastors describe their churches in seasons, not metrics. Four come up again and again.

The Stretched Church

More is being asked of your people and systems than they can carry. Volunteers are tired, staff are stretched, details slip.

The Growing Church

New people keep coming. The momentum is real, and so is the question underneath it: are we keeping the people we're reaching?

The Steady Church

Faithful and consistent. Attendance is stable, rhythms are set. Said with gratitude, sometimes with unease: is this health, or a plateau?

The Church in Transition

Between chapters. A succession, a campus launch, a relocation, a rebuild. The next chapter isn't named yet.

Naming your season is the easy part. The diagnostic tells you whether the systems underneath agree, and what this season needs first.

The Five Systems

Every church runs on five systems

When a church is small, the pastor holds all five together. As it grows, each has to stand on its own and stay aligned with the rest. When they drift, everything gets heavier than it should.

01

Leadership & Alignment

How decisions get made, who owns what, and whether ministry can move without routing everything through the senior pastor.

02

Communications & Outreach

How new people find your church, and whether the message is one people can repeat.

03

Engagement & Generosity

How a first visit becomes belonging, and belonging becomes generosity, stewarded openly.

04

Guest & Member Experience

What it feels like to be here, from the parking lot to the follow-up, and the care that notices drift.

05

Operations

How ministry gets done without breaking people: volunteer capacity, documented ways of working, consistency across campuses.

The lowest score is where the strain shows. The constraint is where it starts, and it's often a different system entirely. Finding which one is pulling on the others isn't a guess. It's a measurement.

Who You'll Be Talking To

One person, start to finish

Simplify Method is led by Corey Gonzalez. He has spent years working with churches, ministries, and nonprofits, and he leads Unseen Church, a separate practice for the ministry side. For more than a decade he has also been a strategic partner to hundreds of business owners and operators, where this diagnostic was built and proven. It was rebuilt for churches so a church is never scored on business terms.

Corey runs every Deep-Dive and every Readout himself.

The Honest Part

What we won't do

Here's what the diagnostic refuses to be. Your executive pastor and finance team should read this part.

01We won't score what hasn't run

If a question doesn't apply to your church (a second campus, a staff role you don't have), it drops out of the math instead of counting against you as a zero.

02We won't put a dollar value on a person

Guests who visited once and never came back are counted as people, not as lost giving.

03We won't sell you the next thing at the Readout

The Readout is for the findings. If the Blueprint calls for more, a written proposal follows later. If it doesn't, we'll say so.

A diagnostic your board can trust has to be willing to say less than it could sell.

The Blueprint Diagnostic

One read, built for your church

$3,500 · One engagement, three parts. You keep everything.

Before we recommend anything, we measure everything. The Blueprint Diagnostic is a structured read of your whole church: your numbers, your words, your rhythms. It ends in one document and one conversation.

1

The Deep-Dive

A 90-minute working session with the senior pastor and whoever runs the church day to day: how the church actually runs, where time goes, what happens to a first-time guest after Sunday.

2

The Blueprint

One document built from that evidence, within three to five business days, written so your elders can read it without us in the room.

3

The Readout

We walk the Blueprint together, live: the findings, the constraint, the plan, every question. Bring whoever will own the work.

What it asks of your team: 90 minutes from senior leadership, the Readout, and whatever numbers you have on hand. No homework. Rough numbers are fine, documents optional.

What's inside the Blueprint

  • The five-system read. All five scored from your church's own evidence, baselined today, and whether they agree with the season you named.
  • The constraint, named. The one system holding the others back, with the evidence behind it.
  • What standing still costs. Counted in people who slip through gaps the church could fix and in hours the structure should carry. Dollars only where giving totals make it honest.
  • The plan. The first 30 days, three moves with owners and dates; what good looks like at 90; and the 12 months beyond, quarter by quarter, with what we design and lead and what your team runs.

The terms, up front

The investment is $3,500, paid before the Deep-Dive is scheduled, by card in our client app or by invoice by check or ACH on request. It's non-refundable, and it isn't credited against later work: the diagnostic is the work, complete in itself.

The Blueprint is yours to keep either way.

What you share stays in confidence: your numbers, your Blueprint, all of it.

Who This Is For

Established churches. We'll say so if that's not you yet.

Built for churches with a year or more of regular rhythm: services, guests, teams. One campus or several, volunteers or a full staff. If you're planting or in your first year, most of what we measure hasn't had time to exist, and we'd be scoring a season as a problem. We'll say so, and the diagnostic will be here when you're ready.

After the Blueprint

If the Blueprint calls for more

Some churches take the Blueprint and run it themselves. Some ask us to stay. If it calls for ongoing work, it arrives as a written proposal: what we design and lead, what your team runs, how many months, and the monthly fee. Nothing open-ended.

The shape of it: engagements are built from workstreams. A workstream takes one of the five systems, installs it in your church, and runs it with you until it holds on its own. Each carries a monthly fee, paid by automatic draft, by card or bank account, on an initial six-month term, then month to month. Every quarter, all five systems are re-measured against your baseline, so your leadership can look rather than wonder. You can end it yourself, any time, from your portal.

Start There First

Ask Unseen Church first. We mean it.

If your church's question is about its people, start at Unseen Church: simple questions sent by text that help pastors see the season their people are in. For most churches it's the right place to start, and for many the right place to stay.

01Unseen Church: your people

Who they are, what season they're in, and how to activate the people already in the room.

02Simplify Method: the systems behind them

For a church that has put Unseen Church to work, or looked hard at it, and wants a full read of the systems behind its ministry, the Blueprint Diagnostic is the next step.

In plain terms: Corey Gonzalez founded both. Unseen Church is the ministry practice. Simplify Method is the consulting practice. We'd rather you know that than wonder.

Questions, Answered Honestly

FAQ

Is this a church growth program?

No. It's consulting. A program is a defined experience delivered the same way in every church. This is a read of your church's own systems and a plan built for your situation. If a proven program belongs inside your system, the Blueprint will say so. The goal isn't a bigger church. It's a church whose ministry is carried by structure instead of heroics. Growth usually follows health. Health is the assignment.

Does this work for a multi-campus church with a full staff?

Yes, with one honest note. The Blueprint reads the whole church as one church: five systems, one set of scores. Campuses come up in the Deep-Dive, where your executive pastor and campus pastors are welcome in the room, and the plan assigns owners by role. It isn't a per-campus scorecard, and we'd rather you know that before you pay than after.

Will you ask to see our giving records?

No. You don't hand anything over. The diagnostic reads giving the way a board does: totals, participation, and average annual giving per giving household, the numbers your finance team already reports. Never a name next to a number, and never shared. Generosity is part of the read because it's part of church health. We don't run capital campaigns.

What does it cost, and what are the terms?

$3,500, all-in: the 90-minute Deep-Dive, the Blueprint, and the live Readout. Same instrument, same depth as every diagnostic we run. It's paid before the Deep-Dive is scheduled, by card in our client app or by invoice by check or ACH on request. It's non-refundable, and it isn't credited against future work. The Blueprint is yours to keep whether or not we ever work together beyond it.

What if our church is healthy?

Then the Blueprint says so with data, names what the next season will stress first, and gives you the plan for whatever's next. Healthy is a finding too, and it's one a board rarely gets in writing.

Who actually does the work after the diagnostic?

Your staff and your volunteers, inside systems we design and lead. We don't replace your team, and we don't become an outsourced ministry department. The goal is structure your church owns and runs on its own, not a dependency on us.

Whatever season you're in,
start with clarity.
